Meditation is primarily a technique for spiritual development to reach Self-realization and unite with the Creator. In the process it calms the mind, brings deep relaxation, develops concentration, releases negative emotions and gives substantial physical benefits like lowering of blood pressure, relieving stress and improving the immunity. As you practice meditation regularly, you spiritualize your life more and it helps you awaken your inner awareness. It is the gateway to the road of Self-realization.
