Sri Swami Kailashananda (1917-2011), known as Yogi Gupta in America, is a great Yoga Master and Guru from India, founder of the Kailashananda Mission Trust, a charitable organization in Rishikesh, and is one of the most widely respected teachers throughout the world. He was one of the first Masters of the Yoga science who introduced Hatha Yoga to America in the 1950's, and is the author of Yoga and Long Life and Yoga and Yogic Powers.
Yogi Gupta selflessly served America for more than 55 years helping to raise the health and living standards and spirituality of the people. He led thousands of students on the spiritual path and has trained some of the most widely known and respected Yoga teachers today.
He is a Master of the 9 main forms of Yoga: Raja, Kundalini, Bhakti, Mantra, Tantra, Yantra, Jnana, Karma, Hatha, and disseminated other forms still unknown by the masses to this day.
Yogi Gupta's work in America has been recognized by some of the most prestigious organizations such as the American Biographical Institute (ABI) and Strathmore (among others).
