Drowning in the love of God
No other is a match
Swimming through this earthly world
His hook is there to catch
Humans land on quickest sand
No grip to slow it down
Remain asleep or take a leep
To Him who can be found
Fishing deed for men in need
Their situation grave
Arriving empty to the shore
The Lord did come to save
Peacefully and willingly
With love beyond compare
A man then cried,
'You don't know I,
Why is it that you care'?
The Lord replied--
'I do know you and now I'm here
Go pay the debt you owe,
Then follow Me and you will see
The Truth man needs to know'
Many followed willfully
With pains and suffered debts
Slates were cleaned as He redeemed
God they can't forget
Traveling on foot abroad
His message they delivered
Restoring faith
Dues were great
Much to be considered
Lives at risk from dirty tricks
Non believers dealt
'He can't be the Messiah,
You blaspheme and will go to hell'!
Murders by the numbers
Horrific and grotesque
Matters of the spirit
Never ending tests
Some were hung rightside up
Others upside down
Beheaded stoned died of old
Faithfully abound
Fear no longer could be near
Seeing what is true
Courage taking over them
What will humanity do?
Follow in His foosteps
For salvation yet to come
Death is an illusion
Truth can't be undone
Now's the time to reconcile
Deep within the heart
No time like the present
No better way to start
Jesus is the Prince of Peace
Yet not without a war
A battle that is spiritual
Something's taking score
It is He in flesh and bones
Human and divine
Who died for us
In Him to trust
Appearing in due time
Not the way one may expect
Only He who knows
Seeking in humility
Truth in peace He shows
To be delivered from this world
Evil's resting place
Open eyes to recognize
His everlasting grace
